Individual Narration

Individual Narration is an important test of Stage I (Screening) at the Service Selection Boards (SSB). In this test, you are required to narrate the story which you have written based on the picture shown to you. This test is very important to get screened IN as each one of you will be assessed individually, here your skills and ability are judged and if you possess them and showcase them properly then you stand a good chance of getting screened IN.

Points to be kept in mind while narrating story

Sitting Arrangement for Individual Narration

Each one of you will be given 40 sec to 1 Min time to narrate your individual story. The time given to you will depend on the strength of your group if more candidates are there then less time will be given. If any candidate exceeds the time limit then one of the assessors will say next and at that time that candidate is required to stop and the next candidate will start narrating his story.

1. Keep your story short and crisp covers " What led to situation, What is currently going on and What is expected outcome of the actions done by Hero".

2. Address to your group members not the accessors.

3. Made out story that reveal the OLQ's commonly called as Officer Like Qualities.

Group Discussion

You are suppose to discuss among yourself to arrive at a common consensus; how many characters their mood and what they are doing and the result evolved after their actions. You will get 10 minutes to discuss and this discussion always turns into fish market because the perception depends on person to person.

After group discussion the results are announced and qualified candidates retained for further assessment and rest of them dropped to railway station.
